 Entrance fee: R70.00 per adult and R50.00 per child under the age of 12.

The Reception is open daily from 7.30am to 5.00pm. Should you require help after hours please find the attendant on duty in the reception area or gate area. Phone +26876042802 OR +26876023607. Our telephone and fax are at your disposal only during office hours.

We also have Wireless Internet service (WIFI).  Please let the receptionist know if you would like to use the internet for a WIFI password. All South African cell providers (MTN, Vodacom and Cell C) can be accessed on the deck by the swimming pool and also on parts of the veranda outside the restaurant.

 

Meals can be ordered through the Restaurant and are served in the Restaurant or in the Cottages, (We apologize that meals cannot be served in the Tents and the Beehives.)

MEAL TIMES: Breakfast: 7.30am to 10.00am

Lunch: 12.30pm to 3.00pm (please order 1 to 1 1/2 hours before)

Dinner: 6.00pm to 8.30pm (please order before 5.00pm)

Beverages may be purchased at the Bar located in the Restaurant. We regret that drinks not purchased at the Bar are not allowed at the Restaurant.

Braai stands are provided for guests and firewood is available at R25.00 per crate.

Laundry service is available. The clothes are hand washed and drip-dried, please ensure that there is sufficient time for clothing to drip-dry.

The TV room is located below the restaurant and we have access to satellite television.  Please note that if the TV Room is locked, ask for assistance from the restaurant attendant.

There are two swimming pools. The first is a chlorinated pool located by the restaurant and the second pool is a river-water pool located at the beginning of Trail 1.  Swimming towels are available from the Reception, please leave them in your room after use.

If you would like a map or a description of the trails to take with you on an unguided walk, please ask the receptionist for a copy. Guided walks with a guide can also be booked at the reception.

Please check out by 10h30 and leave your keys, torch and information folder at reception upon departure. There will be a 50% surcharge on late check out.

Warning: Visitors to Phophonyane are reminded that they are entering at their own risk and Management accepts no responsibility for any mishaps occurring within the reserve.  

DO NOT WALK ON THE ROCKS along the river and especially by the waterfalls and cascades as they are slippery and very dangerous.  Please take this warning seriously as there have been 2 fatal accidents on the waterfalls.

The vervet monkeys are charming delinquents by nature and will steal your food and other items if left unprotected. Please do not tempt them, or feed them.
